The Only 1 Virtual Visa card is a digital prepaid gift card, not a plastic card, but it functions like a Visa gift card and can be used for purchases of goods and services online, over the phone or for mail orders where prepaid VISA Gift Cards are accepted and processed electronically. Your Virtual Visa card cannot be used at physical store locations.
Due to security reasons your Only 1 Virtual Visa card must be registered prior to use. The card will decline attempted transactions if you have not registered your card. To register your card please complete the registration form that was sent to you via an encrypted email.

The Card can be used for purchases of goods and services online, over the phone or for mail orders where prepaid VISA Gift Cards are accepted and processed electronically (excluding merchants and merchant groups who elect not to accept VISA prepaid gift cards). Card can only be used at locations where physical card is not present (Online, over the phone or for mail orders). You cannot use your Virtual Visa Gift Card:
  • at an ATM for any purpose to withdraw cash or for cash equivalent transactions
  • at physical store merchants where a swipe, insert or Paywave is available
  • for recurring payments, direct debits or instalments
  • at gambling merchants
  • at merchants displaying the Visa logo who choose not to accept prepaid Visa Gift Cards.
The amount of every purchase you make will automatically be deducted from the value on the Card. To use your Card please input the Account holder name, Account number, CVV and expiry date all of which are shown on the Reference Card sent to you by email in the applicable fields upon purchasing your goods or services for online, phone or mail orders. Your Virtual Visa card cannot be used at physical store locations. Spending is limited to the amount of money placed on the Only 1 Virtual Visa Gift Card at the time of purchase.
No, the Only 1 Virtual Visa Card is not reloadable and it has no ATM functionality.
Only 1 Visa Virtual Visa Cards should be treated like cash and will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
If your Only 1 Virtual Visa Gift Card information (as set out on your Reference Card) is misplaced or stolen, call 1800 442 490 to cancel your Virtual Card as soon as you can. You will need to know your Account number, so be sure to record it in a safe place. You may also be required to provide additional information. The Virtual Visa Gift Card is like cash and cannot be replaced if misused, misplaced or stolen.
Your Only 1 Virtual Visa Card expires on the date set out on the Reference Card that was sent to you by email or when the remaining value reaches $0. When your Only 1 Virtual Visa Card expires, the card account will be closed and any unused balance will be forfeited.
Yes. A Currency Conversion fee of 3.5% applies for foreign currency transactions.
Keep your Only 1 Virtual Visa Card information in case you need to return merchandise for credit. Merchandise return and refund policies vary by merchant. If a credit is issued to the cardholder, the credit may not be added to the available funds for up to 90 days.
If you notice any suspicious activities you can chose to dispute a transaction on your Only 1 Virtual Visa Card. To dispute a transaction, complete the dispute form located on www.only1visagiftcard.com.au. Please note that it can take up to 60 days after the disputed transaction was made, but some time limits are longer for the dispute to be processed and for a result to be concluded.

FAQ for Physical cards

The Only 1 Visa Gift Card is a prepaid card that can be used wherever Visa cards are accepted and processed electronically. The Only 1 Visa Gift Card carries the Visa logo like any Visa card, but because it is a prepaid card, spending is limited to the amount of money placed on the Only 1 Visa Gift Card at the time of purchase. The Only 1 Visa Gift Card cannot be reloaded with additional funds.
You can use your Only 1 Visa Gift Card wherever Prepaid Visa cards are accepted. You can use it to make online purchases, at more than one merchant and to make purchases outside of Australia (purchases made in foreign currency are subject to a Currency Conversion Fee of 3.5%). You cannot use your Visa Gift Card:
  • at an ATM for any purpose to withdraw cash or for cash equivalent transactions
  • anywhere there is no electronic processing capability
  • for recurring payments, direct debits or instalments
  • at gambling merchants
  • at merchants displaying the Visa logo who choose not to accept prepaid Visa Gift Cards.

The Only 1 Visa Gift Card cannot be reloaded with additional funds. Spending is limited to the amount of money placed on the Only 1 Visa Gift Card at the time of purchase.
Cards with values of $50 and $100 have a purchase fee of $5.95. The variable load and $200 Cards have a purchase fee of $7.95.

If your purchase is greater than the value of the gift card, tell the cashier you would like to pay the difference first and then use your gift card to pay the remaining balance. The value of your Only 1 Visa Gift Card can be combined with cash when you are making a purchase. At the option of each merchant, the value of your Only 1 Visa Gift Card may also be combined with a credit or debit card, so check when you are making a purchase. If you don’t tell the cashier you would like to use two forms of payment and then try to make a purchase for more than the amount on the Only 1 Visa Gift Card, the transaction will be declined because you don’t have enough money on your Only 1 Visa Gift Card.

Your Only 1 Visa Gift Card expires on the date printed on the front of the card or when the remaining value reaches $0. When your Only 1 Visa Gift Card expires, the card account will be closed and any unused balance will be forfeited. When the balance reaches zero, or it expires, the Only 1 Visa Gift Card should be destroyed by cutting it diagonally in half.
Purchasing a Visa Gift Card does not require an application or credit check. You simply need to be able to pay for the value of the card and the purchase fee. Visa Gift Card users should sign their name on the back of the Visa Gift Card, if able to do so, as well as at the point-of-sale on a purchase receipt. If a Visa Gift Card user is unable to sign the Card or purchase receipt, then any other acceptable methods may be used.
There are a few reasons why a transaction might be declined, including:
  • The Only 1 Visa Gift Card has not been 'activated'
  • The transaction value is greater than the available balance on your Only 1 Visa Gift Card. It is best to always be aware of your Only 1 Visa Gift Card balance by visiting www.only1visagiftcard.com.au
  • The merchant has elected not to accept this method of payment
  • Your Only 1 Visa Gift Card has been suspended or closed, or transactions with a particular merchant have been blocked, due to suspected fraudulent or illegal activity
  • The Only 1 Visa Gift Card is damaged
  • The Only 1 Visa Gift Card has expired
Yes, however you should note that some hotels may choose to factor in additional amounts (to cover incidentals) upon check-in, and it may take up to thirty days after your stay to have any excess amounts held by the hotel added back to your available balance.
